Griff Stark-Ennis
Adopted as a baby, Griff grew up on a small hobby farm in the Thousand Islands region of Northern New York. As one of the only people of color in his county, Griff became accustomed to life as a “Black sheep” and the attention that came with it. Excelling in academics, athletics, music and dance, Griff’s hard work and focus earned him a scholarship to attend Boston College (‘14).
During his sophomore year at BC, Griff stumbled into a Newbury Street brownstone for pizza with a friend. Coincidentally, a modeling agency was headquartered two floors above. Having been interested in the industry since he was a kid, Griff decided to walk up and into the agency to ask some questions…and the rest is history.
For more than five years Griff built his experience working in front of the camera in the New England market, simultaneously balancing, at first, a college curriculum, and then a corporate workload with companies like Condé Nast and the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). In 2016 Griff’s last-minute audition for Amy Schumer’s I Feel Pretty caught the attention of a Boston-based casting director, planting a seed in Griff’s mind. Having grown up enamored with movies, Griff began to realize that a career in entertainment might be worth exploring.
In December 2017 Griff left his position with BCG, and in January 2018 he purchased a one-way flight, packed a few bags, and he moved to Los Angeles.
Utilizing his unique personal background and his 10+ years of diverse work in front of the camera, Griff has fielded some incredible opportunities since arriving to Hollywood, and he looks forward to many more to come.
